Duden Custom Kennels' journey began when they purchased a home in a rural area in September of 2015. Nick turned the garage into a small workshop where he began building furniture. A farmhouse kitchen table and several other small projects later, Nick and his wife, Madison, decided that their three dogs needed a proper home instead of three ugly wire crates, so a dog kennel was built.
The pair shared the finished product on Facebook and Instagram and it was an immediate hit. After doing some work for friends and family, they decided to branch out and turn the hobby into a part-time business. Being a small part-time business allows them to keep the costs low and custom build each kennel that is ordered.
The kennels follow a standard size based upon dog weight, but any dimension can easily be changed to fit the needs of the customer. Being a small operation, the lead time can vary greatly depending on how many orders they have, so be sure to contact them as soon as possible.
